Sheds 5 & 6
Erection has started on the steel structure of shed 5 which
will house the Rock Wool continuous sandwich panel plant and the PIR continuous
sandwich panel plant as well as the slightly smaller shed 6.
The production assembly line shed (No. 3) is being prepared to have plant
installed. The first machines to be installed are the floor panel press.
The assembly line will enable APC to manufacture buildings at 24-30
rooms per day. Kitchens and wet-mess will be able to be produced 2-3
weeks from the date of order.
Storage facilities are installed in shed 4 enabling the efficient storage and
retrieval of parts and equipment. The rear section of this shed will be used
for the maintenance of trucks and vehicles and work is currently under way on
the lareg heavy equipment service pit.
The Coil Slitter plant has been installed in shed 2 along with a number of
other profile roll-forming machines for manufacturing 'C' channel and profiled
colorbond roof sheeting.
A new retail area is being developed where retail items and services will be available over the counter. As this area develops, our Retail web page will provide all the information about the retail items available.
Development continues with Multi-storey accommodation buildings.
All new APC camp buildings will feature the latest design for stackable multi-storey erection. The ability to use any of our new buildings as multi-storey camps is a standard option that is provided at no extra unit production cost.
Production of multi-storey accommodation buildings require newly engineered and patented design base frames and corner/side supports. Manufacture of the wall and ceiling panels is being automated so that these panels are produced by a patented system as a fully integrated single unit including all insulation, wiring and other services.
The capacity for APC to provide roll forming increases our production rate and quality control as well as an increase in building strength and R value to meet cyclonic conditions (W99) and Class 3 ABS conditions.
Manufacture of new accommodation and service buildings as well refurbishment of buildings returned from completed projects or buildings needing an upgrade. APC's constant development program ensures that each building is manufactured with the latest techniques and facilities.
