APC starts the multi-storey Gorgon Project
08/10/2009

The APC team has started work at Barrow Island, installing the first ever 2 storey units for the Gorgon Project.

The project has had a slow start with some logistic issues in getting all the plant and equipment on site due to the strict quarantine laws in place, but things are now moving along smoothly and APCs highly dedicated and specialized team will set new records again.

APC Nears Full Production

Aussie 1 Launched!

The accommodation barge "Aussie 1" has been launched via a unique method using lifting balloons rather than a slipway. After testing the barge will soon be operational and in service.

Aussie1 nears completion
14/04/2008

Construction is moving rapidly towards completion and launch of APC's Aussie1 accommodation barge. With all accommodation pads in place, work is currently concentrated on completing the helipad which is capable of supporting large helicoper craft such as the Swarovski.

Although a launch date is yet to be confirmed, once launched and trialed, the Aussie1 will head off to the Southern Tasman waters of Australia.

Monarto facilities continue to expand
14/04/2008

Work continues on expanding the Monarto production line facilities. The concrete floors for sheds 3 & 4 are currently being laid. Manufacture of the steel structure for shed 5 has already begun which will house a continuous sandwich panel plant.

This new shed brings the APC Monarto facility to 19,568 square meters of covered workshop space, all to the highest safety standards.

Bonaparte Pipeline Camp

APC has secured the contract for the Bonaparte Gas Pipeline project, from Blacktip to Adelaide River in NT. APC has already started mobilising and transporting all the required buildings for 2 camps of 250 personnel each. The project is undertaken by AJ Lucas a long standing costemer of APC.

White Cliff Camp Project

APC has mobilised and transported all the buildings and other required camp infrustructure for AJ Lucas sleeving Project in White Cliff in NSW ( approx 350 km from Broken Hill)
The 70 man camp will be ready for occupation from the 24th of February for the personnel to move in. This is another successful and safe project undertaken by APC under the direct supervision of Gino and his installation crew

5A Alinta gas pipeline

APC has successfully undertaken stage 5A Alinta gas pipeline (4 separate continuously moving camps, with 16 re-locations over an 8 month period) involving 20 APC personnel. A total of 2,000,000 heavy vehicle kilometres were travelled.

Komatsu Excavators

APC has aquired two brand new Komatsu excavators. One PC18MR for tight access camp construction and civil works and a second PC400LC with vacuum head attachment for quick, easy and safe manouvering of pipes. Adding to APC's growing fleet of plant and equipment. Again proving our ongoing commitment to safety, innovation and the pipeline industry.

A NEW RECORD FOR CAMP # 2 INSTALLATION
20/05/2007

This is a record breaking news item, Frank and his installation team, have installed and commisioned Camp # 2, located 75 km south of Nunaterra Roadhouse for the Alinta Gas Pipeline project from Dampier to Bambury, contracted to SAIPEM.
In a record 3 days, all electrical, and other service connections where achieved, plumbing has taken longer due to some new changes now required.
This camp will house 270 people and has all the supporting facilities provided by APC.
Facilities include, generators, sewer system, potable water filtration, reverse osmosis, telephone, broadband, and a new communication system container with 6 internet cafe stations and a 6 satellite payphone system
A job well done with maximum speed and safety.

APC TRUCKS ON THE MOVE

The APC Truck team, has safely delivered ontime, 150 Truck loads for the 2 Saipem camps on the DBNGP project.
This effort has been coordinated by Ron Schied, who organised the transport from Adelaide to Fortescue and to Nunuterra of all the required extra buildings.

A total of 575,000 KM have been travelled by APC professional drivers

NEW APC COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

APC has installed and commisioned a new type of total communication system for the Saipem Camp # 1

This system satellite system, has 2 automatic self tracking and positioning dishes for TV signal and for Phone and Broadband signal.

The installed equipment broadcasts all TV stations and ABC radio station to the whole camp without the need of any wiring.

The Phone system has up to 80 phone lines and 6 fax lines.
Broadband also can have up to 120 computers online at any one time.

APC is using a new tecnology, that avoids the need for hard wiring any offices, as all signals are trasmitted and received through the Electricity Grid system.

This is an AUSTRALIA FIRST.
as this unit also provides Internet Cafe with 6 workstations and 6 payphones.

Camp # 1 Saipem Gas Pipeline Project Installation in record time

APC Installation crew have safely installed and commisioned in record time :
Camp # 1 located 73 Km south of Fortescue Roadhouse.
This camp with 270 rooms has state of the art kitchen and other camp infrastructure.
Within 7 days the camp was fully operational and handed over after local council inspection.
Tiedown anchors have been installed for each building corner to withstand cyclonic winds.
A new plumbing system, has also been used, to support the sewer pipes, as the APC system avoids digging or other ground disturbance.

A job well done for all of APC boys, under Frank's personal leadership

Caterpiller Challenger 585 Tractors

APC has taken delivery of 2 new Catarpiller Challenger 585 Track Machines.
Equipped with air system for safe load towing.

These 2 units form part of APC's Hire Division expansion programme, aimed to provide a more specialised type of equipment with high safety performance for new pipeline projects around Australia.

These 2 new Challenger Machines, represent the ongoing commitment that APC has to the Australian Pipeline Industry
